Low histamine recipe : classic pizza with herbs and nomato sauce

This recipe is very simple, almost too simple to publish but I figured some people would enjoy a basic low histamine pizza which tastes like margherita. Using nomato sauce and a gluten free pizza dough you can create a lot of different low histamine pizza, which is really comforting when you feel too restricted on a low histamine diet.

Low histamine classic pizza

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp chopped basil
  • 2 tsp fresh oregano
  • Store-made gluten-free pizza dough
  • 10 ice cubes of nomato sauce
  • 1/4 pound thinly sliced fresh mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. Pre-heat the oven to 500°F.
  2. Roll the pizza dough into a thin round.

  3. Thaw your nomato sauce in the microwave or in a saucepan over medium heat.
  4. Spread the nomato sauce on the dough.
  5. Add the chopped basil, oregano and mozzarella.

Benefits/Side notes :

Mozarella is a low histamine cheese and is usually well tolerated

Basil and oregano : highly anti-inflammatory and low histamine
